Stoke Ferry Neighbourhood Plan

Regulation 16

Stoke Ferry Parish Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to the council in August 2022 in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Regulation 16.

As the relevant local planning authority, Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Council are now required to consult on the submitted Neighbourhood Plan prior in advance of an independent examination.

The consultation will last six weeks from Friday 30 September 2022 until 5pm Friday 11 November 2022, any responses will be given directly to the examiner to determine if the plan meets the “basic conditions”, the statutory tests that a Neighbourhood Plan needs to fulfil.

A hard copy of the plan is available to view at the Council offices 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.45pm on Fridays at:

Making Representations

Representations should be submitted by 5pm on Friday 11 November 2022 online, although we may be able to accept emails received up until 11:59pm on 11 November.

If possible they should be submitted using our online portal which will enable us to process these in an efficient and timely manner.

Please note that all comments will be made publicly available to read following the closure of the consultation period.

Any comments may include a request to be notified of the district council's decision under Regulation 19 in relation to the Neighbourhood Plan.

Previous stages

The draft Stoke Ferry Neighbourhood Plan was published in March 2022 and consulted upon by the Parish Council between 17 March – 9 May 2022, inclusive, under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Regulation 14.

Prior to publication of the draft Neighbourhood Plan, the Borough Council (on behalf of Stoke Ferry Parish Council, the qualifying body) undertook SEA/ HRA screening, including engagement with the Environment Agency, Historic England and Natural England.
