£100 Council Tax energy rebate

Find out who can get the £100 Energy Rebate and how you'll receive your payment

Who can get the rebate?

The government has announced a £100 Energy Rebate for eligible households in Council Tax bands A to D.

Payments will start from January 2027.

We'll update this page when more information is available.

You can check your Council Tax band on the GOV.UK website.

How you'll receive your payment

We'll start making payments from January 2027.

If you pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit, we'll usually pay the rebate into the bank account used for your Direct Debit.

If you do not pay by Direct Debit, it may take longer to receive your payment. You can sign up for Direct Debit at any time.

You can also manage your Council Tax account online using MyRevenues. With a MyRevenues account, you can:

  • view your balance
  • check when your next payment is due
  • view your latest bills
  • set up or amend a Direct Debit
  • report a change and track its progress
