How to register to pay business rates
Who needs to register?
Business rates are charged on most non-domestic properties, like:
- holiday rental homes
If you're using a building, or part of it, for commercial purposes, you'll likely need to pay business rates.
How to register
If you're moving into a building for non-domestic purposes please register for business rates.
To register your business you'll need:
- the premises address
- the date you occupied the premises
- your company/trading name
What happens next?
Once we've processed your application we'll send you a bill. The bill will tell you your rateable value, and what you need to pay. To find out more about rateable values, please view our business rates explained page.
