Mayor's Design Awards

The Mayor's Design Awards celebrate local architectural excellence and craftsmanship. They are held every two years. For more information about the awards visit our Mayor's Design Awards page.

Mayor’s Business Awards

The Mayor's Business Awards publicly acknowledge outstanding business achievement and the contribution that businesses make to the west Norfolk economy.

Established in 1989, by former mayor Cllr Les Daubney, the awards recognise the achievements of local businesses.  It provides them with the perfect opportunity to showcase their success. We have joined forces with the Lynn News to make the awards bigger and better than ever.

You can find out more information about the awards on our Mayor's Business Awards page.

Local Hero Awards

In 2017 we reviewed all our award schemes. We combined the Mayor's Civic Awards for Voluntary Service and the Opportunity Awards to launch the new Local Hero Awards. Since 2021 Your Local Paper has worked with us on these awards.

Categories in these awards include:

  • Neighbour of the Year
  • Young Person of the Year
  • Carer of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year

The Local Hero Awards was presented in a ceremony at the Corn Exchange, King's Lynn, in January 2018 and continues yearly.
