DVLA Photocard Update

Information about updating your DVLA photocard

Your DVLA photocard must be renewed every 10 years, up to the age of 70. It's illegal to drive without a valid licence and, if you are caught driving without one you can be fined up to £1,000. Your photocard licence can be renewed with the DVLA online at the following link https://dvladigital.blog.gov.uk/2022/12/13/how-to-renew-your-driving-licence-online/

Condition 7.7 states that the expiry date of a combined driver’s licence will not be later than the expiry date of the photograph on a DVLA licence.

You must complete this form to update your combined drivers licence, and will also need to provide a copy of your new DVLA driving licence photocard to licensing (front and back, uploads accepted) within 28 days.

A debit or credit card payment is required to complete this form. The fee is £11 for the change to our records.
