The Norfolk Planning in Health Protocol provides an engagement tool between Local Planning Authorities and Norfolk and East Suffolk Public Health Bodies
Norfolk Planning in Health Protocol
The updated Norfolk Planning in Health Protocol was approved by the Norfolk Strategic Planning Member Forum on 24 October 2024. This has allowed partner local authorities (including the Borough Council) individually to adopt the Protocol. The updated Protocol replaces the earlier (August 2019) version.
The Health Protocol is an engagement tool between Norfolk and East Suffolk Local Planning Authorities, Public Health Bodies and the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS). The focus is upon delivering positive outcomes in terms of public health and wellbeing through the planning system. It sets out how we need to engage with public health bodies through the development management and plan-making functions. It is available to view through the link below.
