Enjoy free summer concerts in West Norfolk Bandstands

Music in the Bandstand at The Walks, King's Lynn

Published: Wednesday, 27th May 2026

West Norfolk’s much-loved Music in the Bandstand series is back, bringing free live music to two of the area’s most iconic outdoor spaces throughout the summer.

The season is already underway on Hunstanton Green, where concerts began in early May and will continue various Sundays throughout’ summer. From Sunday 14 June, performances also return to the historic bandstand at The Walks, King’s Lynn, running every Sunday until 13 September which is Heritage Open Day.

On Sundays throughout Summer from 2pm to 4pm, both venues will host a vibrant programme of live music — all completely free to enjoy. From brass bands and acoustic sets to lively ensembles, the series offers something for every musical taste.

Whether you’re planning a family outing, meeting friends, or simply looking to unwind in the sunshine, Music in the Bandstand promises a joyful and uplifting way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Cllr Sue Lintern, Cabinet member for Events and Culture, said:

“There’s nothing quite like sitting in one of our beautiful open spaces, listening to live music on a warm summer day. These concerts bring people together and create a wonderful atmosphere in both The Walks and on Hunstanton Green. I encourage everyone to come along, relax, and enjoy these lovely free events.”

Don’t miss out on this fantastic summer tradition — Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and soak up the sounds of summer in West Norfolk.
