Postal strikes could affect your postal vote in the Norfolk County Council By-Election for Gaywood North and Central

Update from the Elections team ahead of the Gaywood North and Central area, King’s Lynn, Norfolk County Council by-election to be held on Thursday 1 December 2022.

Due to a planned Royal Mail strike next week the borough council is advising residents in the Gaywood North and Central area in King’s Lynn who want to vote by post for the Norfolk County Council by-election to send their vote back as soon as they can.

Postal vote forms are dropping on door mats this week for the by-election to be held on Thursday 1 December. Electors can also drop their postal vote in to any of the polling stations that will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 1 December.

The polling stations are situated in the following locations:

King's Lynn Bowls Club, Beulah Street, Gaywood, PE30 4DN
Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Reffley Lane, PE30 3EQ
King's Lynn Masonic Centre, Hamburg Way, PE30 2ND

Additionally, postal votes can also be dropped in to the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk office based at King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1EX before 10pm on Thursday 1 December.

The votes will be counted on Friday 2 December 2022.
