Community Energy Saving Measures

We understand and appreciate that times are getting tough, so how can you save money on your energy bills? Energy saving household products such as radiator reflectors, low energy LED light bulbs, draught proof tape and hot water tank covers are provided free of charge for eligible households and advice can be accessed to help reduce your energy bills and improve energy efficiency. Parish Council Community Cycle Storage Grants

Working together with our communities to improve active travel infrastructure we have contacted all Parish Councils to determine Borough wide interest in accessing grant funding to improve cycle storage facilities. If your Parish Council has not received this correspondence or still wishes to express an interest in this opportunity please email by 31 May 2024 to find out more.

Businesses Grants and Support

West Norfolk Rural Business Capital Grants

This grant scheme can provide funding of up to 50% of eligible capital costs, up to a maximum value of £100,000, to support new and existing rural businesses to develop new products and facilities that will be of wider benefit to the local economy. This includes farm businesses looking to diversify income streams. Projects must be complete by December 2024 and the application window will close ahead of this so please don’t delay your application.

West Norfolk Training Grants

Micro, small and medium sized businesses and sole traders in west Norfolk are offered the opportunity  to apply for funding for employee training. Grants from £250 up to a maximum of £3,000 per business are available, with the funding covering a maximum of 75% of the total cost of the training.  Click below for more details on eligibility and how to apply for a training grant.

Go Digital West Norfolk

Free digital business support is available for small and medium sized businesses in West Norfolk to learn how to better use digital tools to identify business opportunities and help your business grow. You can also apply for a grant award of up to £500 to help you implement a digital action plan. Applications are on a first come first served basis. Too many businesses are struggling because they don't know where to turn for business support - or who to trust. So they struggle alone, never really realising their highest potential or maximising the opportunities their hard work has created. We're here to fix that. The BCKLWN has invested UKSPF funding to support the New Anglia Growth Hub in West Norfolk to provide free high quality local business advice,support and guidance. The Growth Hun can also signpost business to other opportunities for finance, grants and vouchers.

The Place - Pop Up Shop and Business Hub

We are pleased to announce that UKSPF funding has been invested into funding a continued provision of The Place Pop Up Shop and Business Hub - The Place is a fresh, flexible, multi-purpose venue that can be hired for various business endeavours, such as exhibitions, demonstrations, interactive workshops, tastings, and even general retail usage. You could use The Place to test out a new product, trial a bricks and mortar presence or reach a new audience. The venue could be rented for an evening, weekend, week or even on a repeat basis. The possibilities are almost endless!
