We have received a number of queries from our seasonal and regular seafront chalet users regarding the use of seafront chalets this season. We have delayed making a decision for as long as possible, waiting for further published guidance from the Government.
Regrettably the layout of all our seafront chalets does not allow for maintenance of 2 metre or 1 metre plus mitigation social distancing as per government guidance.
A popular chalet attraction is for users to sit out front of their chalet. With the B and C block this would mean users would be sitting on a footway that's already less than 2 metres before tables and chairs are introduced, narrowing the footway further, making chalet access and egress very difficult and social distancing impossible.
Until such time as the government relaxes its 1m plus mitigation social distancing guidance or 2m without mitigation, we will be unable to open the chalets and they will remain closed.
I appreciate this isn't the news you would have wanted but given the current guidelines we cannot operate these safely.
Hire a chalet
Rent your own little place in the sun. Located along Hunstanton's North Promenade, each chalet offers you wonderful sea views across The Wash, and your own guaranteed space away from the crowds on the beach.
Our chalets are usually available to hire from the 1st April until 31st October each year, on a daily, weekly or seasonal basis. But are currently closed due to covid (see update above).
Our chalets are an ideal base for a family trip to the beach.
Prices are as follows:
- daily chalet - £21.30
- weekly chalet - £96.70
- seasonal chalet - £680.55
You'll receive a parking permit and designated parking bay for the duration of your stay, in close proximity to the chalets.
