Work experience at the Borough Council
We offer a range of work experience placements at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Work experience is a great way for you to gain insight into the working world, and your time spent with us will broaden your knowledge of what we do and what to expect when working in the public sector.
Undertaking work experience with us will provide you with the opportunity to develop many essential skills to help you prepare for work, including confidence, communication skills, teamwork, time management, flexibility, decision making, and organisation.
We offer work experience in a range of departments. If you are interested in completing your work experience with us, please email work.experience@west-norfolk.gov.uk with the department you are interested in working with, the dates of your placement and your CV.
Once this is received, we will coordinate with the department managers to see if we are able to offer you a placement and let you know with next steps.
Please note, placements are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
