Small grants scheme

We hold a small amount of funding to distribute towards either revenue expenditure or capital projects for local voluntary and community groups and organisations.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

The Community Infrastructure Levy is funded by a levy on development in West Norfolk that is used for supporting infrastructure projects in the borough.

Councillor grants are small grants of up to £1,000 that can be given to community and voluntary organisations at the discretion of the ward councillor.

The Community Projects Fund is a councillor-led fund to support communities to improve local facilities, enhance wellbeing and strengthen community resilience across the borough.

Health and Wellbeing Partnership grants

The King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership (KLWN HWP) provides funding for activities that promote health and wellbeing, primarily by tackling health inequalities.

Healthy and Active Lifestyle grants

Small grants are available as part of the King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership, which aims to focus on healthy and active lifestyles to improve overall well-being within King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Examples include;

  • Setting up a new project or activity which will benefit the local area related to health lifestyles
  • Expanding an existing project or activity that is related to healthy lifestyles (e.g. extend the participation or range of activities available).
  • Purchasing equipment that enables a project or activity related to healthy lifestyles to go ahead to target those facing inequalities or remove barriers to participation.
