At the Annual Council and Mayor Making meeting this afternoon, Cllr Stuart Dark was confirmed as Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk with Cllr Graham Middleton as his deputy.

Other Cabinet positions have been given to Cllr Paul Kunes, Cllr Sam Sandell, Cllr Richard Blunt, Cllr Angie Dickinson, Cllr Adrian Lawrence and Cllr Brian Long.

The roles and portfolio holder responsibilities for each cabinet position will be confirmed at the Cabinet meeting on 15 June, with several portfolios remaining largely unchanged.

Cllr Stuart Dark, MBE, new Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, commented: "This is quite a momentous occasion for me and I am very much looking forward to working with my cabinet colleagues and council officers on the challenges ahead.

"Over the next few weeks I will be continuing to work with council officers and my cabinet colleagues to align portfolios and to ensure that each is supported with an officer team so that we have a strong delivery mechanism in place, with transparent accountability."
