Residents are invited to have their say on the proposed Council Tax Support Scheme for West Norfolk, which helps working-age people with their Council Tax bill if they are on a low income.
The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk is consulting from 27 July to 7 September on its proposed scheme for 2027/28, which would see the council continuing to offer support of up to 100%.
Cllr Chris Morley, Cabinet Member for Finance, said:
“Every household in West Norfolk pays Council Tax so it is right that they also have the opportunity to comment on this scheme.
“Despite continuing pressures on our budget, I am pleased that we are in a position to propose maintaining support of up to 100% of the council tax bill for all eligible working age people.”
The council proposes, and must consult on, a scheme each year – even if it doesn’t plan to change the level of help offered.
