Bin collections will take place on Good Friday but NOT on Easter Monday

Easter bin collections

Published: Tuesday, 24th March 2026

This Easter there will be less disruption to bin collections in west Norfolk as crews will work on Good Friday to clear the usual Friday waste and recycling collections.

Cllr Sandra Squire, Cabinet Member for Environment and Coastal, said: “Collection crews will be working on Good Friday this year, meaning residents with a Friday collection will have it on their normal day.

“It also means our crews will benefit from a three‑day break over Easter, supporting their work–life balance and giving them valuable time with their families.”

Easter Week Changes

  • Good Friday (3 April): Collections will take place as normal.
  • Easter Monday (6 April): No collections will take place.
  • Collections during the week beginning Monday 6 April will run one day later than usual, with crews working on Saturday 11 April to complete the week.
  • From Monday 13 April, all collections return to their normal schedule.

Residents are reminded to put their bin out by 7am on their collection day.
