Hunstanton’s Green came alive last weekend as two borough council–organised music events drew enthusiastic crowds on both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday: Battle of the Bands Brings Regional Talent to the Fore
Saturday saw the return of the popular Battle of the Bands competition, now in its third year. Bands hailing from across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Lincolnshire took to the stage, each vying for a coveted spot at next year’s Festival Too in King’s Lynn.
Cllr Sue Lintern, Cabinet Member for Events and Culture, said:
“This year’s competition was fiercely contested, and the energy on The Green was electric. We’re incredibly grateful to the Festival Too committee for their continued support, and to the musicians and audience who made the day so memorable.”
Four bands made it to the final. Kissed by Vultures claimed the top spot and will perform at Festival Too in 2026.
Sunday: Sunshine and Soundtracks
The music continued on Sunday with a free afternoon concert featuring DJ L.I.AM, The Fascinates, and crowd-favourite headliners Wild Boys. Families and visitors soaked up the summer vibes with upbeat performances under clear skies.
Cllr Lintern added:
“It’s been a fantastic weekend of live music in Hunstanton. There’s still plenty for families to enjoy on The Green before the school term begins, and I’m especially looking forward to the thrills of next month’s Soap Box Derby.”
