Hunstanton is buzzing with activity this summer, as free events organised by the Borough Council continue to attract large crowds of residents and visitors alike.
With the school holidays in full swing, the town’s vibrant programme of entertainment is proving a hit—and there’s still plenty more to come.
Cllr Sue Lintern, Cabinet Member for Culture and Events, shared her enthusiasm:
“It’s been a fantastic start to our summer programme in Hunstanton. Last Saturday’s Open-Air Cinema drew thousands—our biggest turnout yet for the three free screenings held throughout the day. The sunny weather certainly helped, but it’s clear that people are eager to enjoy these community events.”
“Just a few weekends earlier, over 200 Rock Choir singers performed on The Green, entertaining a crowd of hundreds with their uplifting harmonies.”
The summer schedule includes free weekday family activities, from pebble painting to performances by Strange Fascination Theatre. Cllr Lintern encourages families to check the council’s website for full details:
“There’s something for everyone, and it’s all free. Visit our website to find out what’s happening and when.”
Looking ahead, the free entertainment continues with:
Battle of the Bands – Saturday, 23 August
Beats on the Beach – Sunday, 24 August, featuring DJ L.I.AM, The Fascinettes, and headliners Wild Boys
“We’re inviting everyone to join us for a weekend of upbeat music and celebration on The Green,” said Cllr Lintern. “These events are designed to bring joy to our residents and visitors, and showcase the best of our beautiful seaside town. I’d also like to thank the dedicated team at the Borough Council who work tirelessly to make it all happen.”
