Families invited to celebrate Christmas at St George’s Guildhall

Christmas at the Guildhall. A Victorian themed family event.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at St George’s Guildhall where a range of free festive family-friendly activities will take place on Sunday 10 December 2023.

From midday until 4pm there will be a range of free Victorian themed activities for families to enjoy:

  • See a special stage show featuring Father and Mother Christmas and Dickensian Christmas carols.
  • Play traditional Victorian games.
  • Get creative and make Christmas cards, crackers and decorations to take home.
  • Make a peppermint cream, a favourite Victorian sweet.
  • Take part in the Christmas trail.
  • Admission and activities are free, but timeslots need to be booked.

Delicious jacket potatoes will be available to purchase from the Potato Pod and drinks will be available to purchase in the pop-up refreshment bar including mulled apple juice.

Tim FitzHigham, Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk Creative Director, said: “St George’s Guildhall is a magical place to celebrate Christmas. We have traditional Victorian games to play and the chance to make some festive creations. Father and Mother Christmas will be on stage in the theatre, as part of a special Dickensian short show celebrating the spirit of Christmas . It’s all free and at the Guildhall for four festive hours only a couple of weeks before the big day!”

All taking place at St George’s Guildhall, 29 King St, King’s Lynn PE30 1HA. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be available to purchase on site.
