Published: Tuesday, 31st October 2023

Stories of Lynn is hosting a free coffee morning on Wednesday 15 November where residents can see drawings and illuminations from the Borough Archives, as well as get artistic.

People can pop in for a coffee between 10:30am and 11:30am to explore the Stories of Lynn Museum, view the archived collections first hand, and also join in for 60 minutes of relaxing colouring in while chatting to others. The free event must be booked in advance by calling 01553 774297.

Dayna Woolbright, Norfolk Museums Service Curator, said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity to step inside the wonderful museum to enjoy some colouring in along with friendly conversation. Visitors will see what the original documents look like, and learn a little about their history, through the session to help inspire them. The team at Stories of Lynn are so welcoming and free access to see the wonderful collection in the museum is an offer you cannot miss.”

All colouring sheets contain images from the local archives in King’s Lynn and Norwich and will be provided in advance. For those interested in using the King’s Lynn Borough Archive facilities in the future please join the Archivist, Luke Shackell, for a short introductory tour.
