The Tuesday Market Place hosted classic and new Mini cars for the Mini Meet last weekend. This Sunday it’s the turn of a range of classic cars, as part of Heritage Open Day.
Cllr Simon Ring, Cabinet member for Tourism, Events and Marketing, said:
“110 marvellous Minis were on display in the Tuesday Market Place on Sunday. The sun shone and the event was well attended with many people enjoying the classic and new Minis and free live music on stage.
“The weather forecast is good for this Sunday too, for one of the best events on the King’s Lynn calendar. Historic buildings open their doors for Heritage Open Day, organised by King’s Lynn Civic Society, and there’ll be more amazing cars parked in the Tuesday Market Place for the Classic Car Show. It should prove to be another popular day in town.”

There were a couple of trophies awarded at the end of the day. Winner of the classic Mini car award was Gary Barrow from Hilgay. Winner of the BMW Mini car award was Aaron Pidgeon from Holbeach.
There will be more live music on the stage this Sunday for classic car day. Award-winning all female rock and roll band The Daisy Chains will take you on a journey through a golden era of music that includes hits from Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Buddy Holly and The Chiffons as well as a few modern songs with a quirky twist.
