Walk and watch the sun go down in Hunstanton

Sunset in Hunstanton

Published: Wednesday, 23rd August 2023

People are invited to a gentle and sociable walk along the promenade and back to see the high tide and sunset over the sea on Thursday 31 August.

The free 3-and-a-half-mile walk starts at the Bandstand on the Green at 6.30pm and heads along the prom towards Heacham, as the sun sets.

Hunstanton Events Officer, Roger Partridge, said:

“This should be a lovely walk for everyone, a great way to wind down at the end of the day and, hopefully, see a glorious sunset over the sea. It can be a really beautiful sight. We hope people will join us and look forward to meeting everyone at 6.30 by the Bandstand.”

Led by qualified walk leaders from West Norfolk Health Walks. The event is open to all but under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult and dogs on a short fixed lead.

The walk, which is free of charge (although a small donation to Walking for Health is welcome), takes place as part of Hunstanton’s events and activities programme organised by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk.
