Four new blue recycling bins are now available on the Promenade in Hunstanton for residents and visitors to use in time for the school summer holidays.
The blue recycling bins are for the collection of plastic bottles and cans. Cllr Sandra Squire, Cabinet member for Environment and Coastal, said:
“I am delighted that we can trial the recycling of bottles and cans on Hunstanton Promenade. It’s important to offer our visitors the opportunity to both help keep the Prom and the beach free of litter and now also to be more sustainable.
“Recycling drinks bottles and cans helps to reduce our impact on the environment and using the bins responsibly will also help to stop waste polluting the sea.”

Collected material will be sent to the sorting facility on the edge of Norwich and once sorted sold to processors in the UK to make new products.
The bins, located on the central Promenade near the Oasis Leisure Centre, will be monitored to see if they are well used. The bins have an aperture designed for bottles and cans only and are labelled so that they are very easy for everyone to use.
