Clenchwarton parish poll result

On 22 June 2023 voters in the Parish of Clenchwarton went to the Polls to vote in respect of the following questions:

  1. Do you think a new multi-use community facility should be built to replace the existing Pavilion?
  2. Should the Memorial Hall be sold by the Parish Council to contribute towards the cost of a new multi-use community facility?
  3. If there is a funding shortfall, are you willing to contribute to a new multi-use community facility through an increase in the Parish Council precept?

The number of votes cast at the Polling Station, Memorial Hall, 2 Black Horse Road, Clenchwarton, were 258 out of 1857 eligible electorate. A percentage turnout of 13.9%. No ballot papers were rejected.

The votes were as follows:

No: 147

Should the Memorial Hall be sold by the Parish Council to contribute towards the cost of a new multi-use community facility?

Yes: 64
No: 190

If there is a funding shortfall, are you willing to contribute to a new multi-use community facility through an increase in the Parish Council precept?

Yes: 74
No: 180
