The borough showed its support for members of the armed forces, by raising the British Armed Forces Day flag on Monday, 19 June 2023.
All three armed forces were represented at the ceremony in Tower Gardens, King’s Lynn, along with the Royal British Legion and Royal Air Forces Association. Tributes were made to current serving members of our armed forces as well as service families, veterans, reservists and adult cadet volunteers.
Leader of the borough council, Cllr Terry Parish, said:
“The armed forces do so much for our country and I’m honoured to observe British Armed Forces Flag Raising Day. Our service personnel undertake their duties with pride and courage, I thank them for everything they do.”
