Honour for former mayor

Honorary alderman Nick Daubney and wife Cheryl Daubney

Published: Friday, 31st March 2023

Yesterday, at a special ceremony at King’s Lynn Town Hall, the title of Honorary Alderman was bestowed upon Nicholas John Stennett Daubney.

Honorary alderman

This accolade was in recognition of his many years’ public service, first as a councillor in 1999, before going on to be deputy leader of the council, leader of the council, and most recently Mayor of the Borough of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk.  Former colleagues and friends gathered at the Town Hall to witness Nick being presented with this honour by the current mayor Cllr Lesley Bambridge.

In comments made in support of this award, fellow councillors talked of Nick’s achievements and leadership and of the encouragement and support he has selflessly given to others.
