Today, Friday 27 January 2023, is Holocaust Memorial Day. An interfaith service was held at King's Lynn Town Hall last Sunday. You can watch it here.
A variety of readers and groups attended the service on Sunday, January 22, which returned to the Town Hall for the first time since the pandemic. The video is below.
January 27 marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp, and West Norfolk held its ceremony on the Sunday before the date to enable as many people as possible to take part. A wreath was laid after the service at the tree planted for the first national Holocaust Memorial Day in 2001 in the Tower Gardens, King's Lynn.
