We run a Council Tax Support Scheme, which is designed to help people with the cost of their Council Tax if they are on a low income. This is separate from the Government’s national scheme.
This scheme is reviewed annually and each time the council invites all residents to have their say on the scheme – that consultation is now open.
Cllr Sam Sandell, Cabinet Member for People and Communities, said: “Every household in west Norfolk pays Council Tax so it is only right that they have the opportunity to comment on this scheme and I would encourage everyone to take part.”
Details of the proposed scheme and the consultation questionnaire are available on the council’s website at www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/ctsconsultation. The consultation closes on 12 December.
