Notice of Election: Great Massingham

Election news Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk

On 8 December voters in Great Massingham will go to the polls to vote in the parish council by-election if it is contested.

Anyone not already registered to vote must do so by midnight on Tuesday 22 November if they wish to cast a vote in this election.

Polling station details will be confirmed shortly.

If no valid nominations are received, the election will be re-run at a later date. If not enough valid nominations are received, nominees will be automatically co-opted onto the council.

Anyone who is unable to vote in person can check if they are eligible for a postal or proxy vote by contacting Electoral Services on 01553 616773.

The deadline for applications to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 23 November (for new postal voting arrangements and amendments to existing arrangements, including postal proxies). This is also the deadline for amendments to existing arrangements to vote by proxy.

The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 30 November.

The deadline for emergency proxy vote applications (if the emergency arose after 5pm on Wednesday 30 November) is 5pm on Thursday 8 December.

If an election is held, votes will be counted on Friday 9 December at the borough council offices, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1EX.
