Annual canvass to be carried out in west Norfolk

The Annual Canvass is underway.

Published: Thursday, 14th July 2022

From Monday 18th July 2022 registered electors, where we hold an e-mail address, will receive an e-mail to confirm their voter registration details as part of the annual canvass.

Local residents are being encouraged not to lose their voice on decisions that affect them by making sure their electoral registration details are up to date. The e-mail will come marked from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk and from the e-mail address elections@west-norfolk.gov.uk

Andrew Barrett, Electoral Services Manager, at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk said: “It’s important that residents keep an eye out for messages from the borough council, so we can make sure we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in west Norfolk. To make sure you are able to have your say at future elections, simply follow the instructions in the email.

Electors are asked to click on the ‘Household Response’ link and follow the instructions.

If we hold an e-mail address for multiple members of the same household, the link will stop working once the first member of a household completes a response and the property has been marked as ‘canvassed’.

Any property that completes the online form before the 24 July deadline will subsequently not receive any additional paper form through the post.

Electors where we do not currently hold an e-mail address, will receive a canvass form through the post, from Monday 8 August 2022 onwards.

Any residents who have any questions can contact the local registration team at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk by calling 01553 616773 or e-mailing elections@west-norfolk.gov.uk
