Relaxation of restrictions at Mintlyn Crematorium

Entrance to Mintlyn Crematorium

Published: Wednesday, 14th July 2021

In line with the Government announcement that national restrictions will be eased in England from Monday 19 July, restrictions at Mintlyn Crematorium will also be eased.

Cllr Brian Long, Cabinet member for Corporate Services, encourages responsible visitors to the Crematorium: “Life events such as funerals will not be limited by restrictions, however at Mintlyn Crematorium we strongly advise that individuals should consider their own personal well-being and that of others by wearing a suitable face-covering especially when there are large congregations in the chapel.

“Mintlyn Crematorium staff will continue to clean the chapel between services, and hand sanitisation facilities will be available on entry and exit to the crematorium building.

“We also strongly encourage members of the congregation to use the track and trace cards, or the NHS QR code which are both located within the chapel space.

“I would like to thank the team at Mintlyn for ensuring families using the facility have continued to receive the best service possible despite the unprecedented restrictions that have been placed on us all".
