Information about the Alive Leisure trust
Alive Leisure is a charitable trust that manages the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange, sports facilities and sports development in West Norfolk. These facilities and services were previously managed by the borough council.
Alive Leisure has taken over responsibility for the following facilities, which between them receive over 1.4m customer visits each year.
Alive Leisure also organises major events on our behalf such as the Grand East Anglia Run, the Village Games and Hunstanton Bowls Tournament.
Alive Leisure will be overseen by a volunteer board of seven trustees, detailed below, all of whom are local people, selected for their wealth of experience in a range of fields.
- Peter Lemon, Chairman
- Dr Ian Mack, Vice Chairman
- Michael Andrews, Treasurer
- Ian Trundley
- Abbie Panks
- Sarah Juggins
- Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds.
Alive Leisure enables the council to make considerable savings whilst protecting and preserving these facilities and services for the future.
As a charity, Alive Leisure will build on the good work of the council to continue to provide affordable and accessible facilities and services for the people of West Norfolk. As a not-for-profit organisation, any profits made will be re-invested back to further improve facilities and services.
