Pay and display parking comes with the inconvenience of making sure you always have change. Now payment card-enabled parking on your smartphone offers a convenient alternative.
PaySmarti gives you a quick and simple way to pay for parking wherever you are.
How to register
Before you can use the service you must register and set up an account. To do so you need to enter your mobile phone number on the PaySmarti website.
You'll be texted a confirmation code, which you can use to set up a secure account. To do so you'll need your name, address, credit or debit card details and vehicle registration. Once you've set up your account you won't be asked for these details again.
Once you have registered you must reply to the text you receive with your vehicle registration, to complete the initial registration.
Paying by Text
To pay by text, text the Paysmarti number 07537 404780. Please include the following in your text:
- the car park location code*
- the length of stay required
- the credit/debit card security code.
An example text would be "PARK 7000 3h 123".
The vehicle registration only needs to be sent if the account has more than one vehicle assigned to it.
*Currently available on all short term car parks and Boal Quay car park within King's Lynn, additional locations coming soon.
Paying Online
Paying online is equally convenient. Sign into your account on the PaySmarti website and enter the same minimal amount of information.
Paying by Phone
If you don't want to register you can still make payment over the phone by calling 01604 210 933. PaySmarti will ask for the car park location code, the vehicle registration number and the length of stay. They will then take payment securely over the phone.
Please note that the service provider charges 20p per transaction for this service, and 10p per message for any text message reminders.
