Payments received after 4.45pm will be processed and appear on your account two working days later.
What if my card is refused?
Cards are not refused by the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk but by your bank or card issuer. There could be many reasons this may happen and we suggest you contact your card issuer in the first instance if you incur a problem with your payment being declined.
What if I change my mind?
If you chose to cancel your payment, you can do this at any time prior to selecting the “make a payment” option. To do this click on the “Cancel” button at the top of the page. This will take you back to our home page and all the details you have entered will be deleted.
Can I have a receipt?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation of your payment on your screen after you make the payment. This will display your unique transaction number. You will also receive an email confirming the payment has been successful. Please be aware that if you are an AOL customer this email may be delayed.
I’ve paid the wrong amount – can I have a refund?
If you have overpaid your account please telephone our Customer Service team on 01553 616200. If the payment has been authorised then a refund back to the original card will be made within 14 days. How safe is my transaction?
It is very safe. Your transaction will take place within a secure payment system. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, an internet standard supported by major internet browsers. All of your personal and card details are protected by using 128 bit encryption for transmission over the Internet. For a transaction to take place securely your browser must support 128 bit encryption. If your browser does not support this level of encryption, we recommend you Microsoft Interest Explorer.
Encryption means taking original data (e.g. your payment card number and home address) and converting it into coded data so that it is unrecognisable as it travels along the Internet.
If you are in a public place we strongly advise you to make sure you are not overlooked as your enter your details to prevent them being misused by somebody else.
We use your personal information only for the purposes of the payment transaction. Under no circumstances do we supply your details to marketing organisations.
