Bus service No. 48 operates between King's Lynn bus and train stations and Gayton/Harpley.  There is a bus stop immediately outside the Crematorium on the B1145.  Refer to Norfolk Green Timetables for more information.  The nearest taxi ranks are in King's Lynn town centre and at the Bus and Train stations.

 

 

The chapel and grounds are open daily Monday to Friday / Weekends and Bank Holidays:

• 1 October to 31 March 8:30am - 4:45pm / 10:00am - 4:30pm
• 1 April to 30 September 8:30am - 6:30pm / 10:00am - 6:00pm
• The gates are opened on Christmas Day but the office is not staffed.

Access to the chapel is restricted when services are taking place.

 

The Crematorium Administration Office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  There is someone to assist visitors at weekends and on Bank Holidays if needed.  Please go to the Public Enquiry Office.

The chapel, which seats approximately 100 people, is equipped with the state of the art Wesley Music System as well as an electronic organ, giving a full range of music options to families.  In 1996 an induction loop system was installed to benefit those who wear a hearing aid.  The chapel is on a single level giving easy access for wheelchairs.  Disabled toilet facilities are also available.

 

The Gardens of Remembrance are a mixture of informal woodlands planted with memorial trees and shrubs where people can sit on seats dedicated to the memory of loved ones, a lawned area with memorial shrubs and trees as well as memorial kerbs, and finally a more formal area of memorial kerb plates and trees to mark the final resting place of the deceased.  There is also a Columbarium (which is where the cremated remains rest in vaults sealed with inscribed granite tablets) sited close to the main building.  Parts of the grounds are managed as conservation areas thus encouraging wildlife and various wild flowers to flourish.
