The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk is today launching consultation to understand the needs and priorities of businesses and residents to help inform investment in the area.
The Invest West Norfolk Business Insight survey seeks to understand the challenges to businesses across west Norfolk, and what support they might need. It also aims to find out some of the ways in which businesses have adapted in the last three months, in response to Covid-19: in particular, the council is keen to capture best practice from businesses in west Norfolk. Residents are also being invited to share their thoughts in a district wide Consumer Insight survey to find out how people are using, and intend to use, businesses across west Norfolk, as lockdown eases. And, to support local businesses, everyone completing this survey can enter into a prize draw to win one of three prizes of gift vouchers to the value of £50 for use in a west Norfolk business of their choice. The council recently received European Regional Development Funding to support the safe reopening of the high street and the feedback from this consultation will help to inform how that funding is invested.
The consultation comes on the back of the recent Vision King’s Lynn surveys to understand business and consumers needs and concerns in King’s Lynn. Now, businesses and residents across the whole district are being invited to have their say.
Councillor Graham Middleton, Cabinet Member for Business Development explained: “Inevitably, Covid-19 has had an impact on businesses right across west Norfolk and we are really keen to hear from the businesses themselves about their needs and priorities.
“And, we want to hear from local people too find out about how they are accessing local businesses. This insight will prove vital in helping us to understand what support we can provide, and where we can potentially make investment.
“Please do have your say.”
The Invest West Norfolk consultation runs from Friday 26 June to midnight on Sunday 5 July 2020.
