Stories of Lynn, in the Saturday Market Place, will be hosting two free drop-in workshops in November to make Christmas items for the light parade that takes place at the end of the month.

The final workshop is being held this Sunday, 24 November, between 11am and 3pm. People are asked to bring along a 1.5 or 2 litre clear drink bottle to upcycle into a lantern.

Then, on Thursday 28 November, children can join in the Christmas lantern parade. They need to be at Stories of Lynn at 5pm with their lantern, leaving at 5:30pm to go to the Tuesday Market Place, to be part of the Christmas lights switch-on.

Rachael Williams, learning and engagement officer for Stories of Lynn, said: “This is a great addition to the Christmas lights switch on event that will take place in King’s Lynn. I urge families to create their lanterns at one of these workshops and hope the children will be joining me in wearing bright, colourful clothing so they add to the dazzling festive parade”.
