To celebrate the return of Norfolk Day, council employees from across the county got on their bikes for a cycle relay around Norfolk.

Carrying the Norfolk Day flag and handing it over to each neighbouring local authority. North Norfolk District Council delivered the flag to the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk offices on Friday 26 July.

Leader and Deputy Leader of the borough council, Brian Long and Elizabeth Nockolds signed the flag and set our riders off on Friday afternoon. Chief Executive, Ray Harding, led our group from the borough council towards the Breckland council offices in Dereham.

Being supported by a team from Pedal Revolution in Norwich, the full course covered nearly 170 miles, the west Norfolk part of the route was 26.2 miles.
