You have until 5pm on Friday 28 June to share your Perfect West Norfolk Day. You could win £100 of vouchers to spend at King's Lynn Corn Exchange for doing so.
Love West Norfolk, Visit West Norfolk and the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk are inviting members of the public to submit their Perfect West Norfolk Days to inspire people to enjoy fantastic days out in the area this summer.
And, everyone who submits a Perfect West Norfolk day will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 of vouchers for the Corn Exchange.
Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, Deputy Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and Cabinet Member for Culture, Heritage and Health said: “West Norfolk is filled with fantastic places to go, sights to see and things to do. We have beautiful beaches, picturesque countryside, and historic towns. We have festivals, events, leisure activities, and so many great places to eat and drink.
“We want to inspire people to enjoy all that our area has to offer, and who better to provide that inspiration than people who, like us, love West Norfolk.”
As well as sharing the Perfect West Norfolk Days across social media, there will also be opportunities for the days to be used in other marketing activities to promote West Norfolk.
Anyone wishing to submit a West Norfolk Perfect Day can do so via michelle@engaging-people.co.uk or via the website: https://www.lovewestnorfolk.co.uk/#tellus
Some of the themes people might want to consider include heritage, countryside, coast, and things to do for families.
Submissions are welcomed until 5pm on Friday 28 June. Organisers would also welcome photos of West Norfolk to accompany the Perfect West Norfolk Days.
Looking for inspiration? Here’s Councillor Nockolds’ Perfect West Norfolk Day:
Morning
There is nothing better than starting the day with a walk along the sand at Holme beach, looking for driftwood. From here, a drive to Drove Orchards in Thornham for coffee and to buy locally grown apples for lunch.
Noon
Setting off from the Orchards, towards the coastal path, through the salt marshes, leads to a flood bank where there is a seating area to watch the birds. We get so many rare birds visiting this part of the world. This is the perfect spot to stop and eat a picnic.
Evening
As the sun has started to set, I take a walk alongside the Staithe at Thornham, looking at the colours of the sky reflected in the low tide. The sunsets are fantastic here. I finish up with a bite to eat in The Orange Tree.
