A brand new event is coming to the Hunstanton Heritage Gardens on Sunday 8 July – a Busker’s Corner!
From 11am local musicians will be performing in the Hunstanton Heritage Gardens at a ‘Busker’s Corner’. The idea for the event came from local music enthusiast Ian Wells, organiser of the annual Hunstanton Folk Festival. Ian said: “I’ve always thought what a good idea it would be to encourage musicians to perform live by having a place for them to play in public, and now the borough council have made it happen. The Hunstanton Heritage Gardens are an ideal venue for an afternoon of free live music, and we’re inviting everyone to come along and enjoy it. We’re hoping that if the event is a success we’ll be able to repeat it, so help us make it one!”
Ian has invited musicians from local folk clubs and music sessions around the area to come and play so there will be a wide variety of performers and music to enjoy, including, folk, Americana, and rock‘n’roll.
Music takes place from 11am until around 3pm at the Busker’s Corner (by the Victorian pavilion and crazy golf).
The event is part of the Hunstanton Heritage Gardens project, which aims to regenerate the gardens and offer more activities to residents and visitors, and is funded by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, the Heritage Lottery Fund, and the Big Lottery Fund.
