The first West Norfolk Wins draw takes place in less than two weeks' time and already 41 good causes have signed up and are set to be winners, as they receive 50p for every £1 ticket they sell.
The top five good causes are currently West Norfolk Deaf Association, West Norfolk Swimming Club, Marshland Hall, West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled and the Purfleet Trust.
Ticket sales are steady with over 700 tickets already sold. This is excellent news for all the good causes and for west Norfolk as a whole as a percentage of the ticket price goes to the Community Fund which will be used to fund community projects.
Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, deputy leader and cabinet member for Culture, Heritage and Health, said: "There is still time for charities to sign up to the lottery. Even if they aren't live on the website in time for the first draw, they can still join at any time and then encourage their supporters to help them raise funds for their cause."
Anyone buying tickets for the first draw will also be entered into a separate prize draw to win a 50" smart TV (sponsored by homes developer Lovell) and a soundbar sponsored by local electrical retailer Hughes.
