On 3 August 2017 voters in the St Margaret’s with St Nicholas Ward of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk will go to the polls to elect a new borough councillor.
Voting will be at London Road Methodist Church, London Road, King’s Lynn, PE30 5PU and King’s Lynn Christian Fellowship, Wellesley Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1QD. The polling stations will open from 7am to 10pm.
The deadline for applications to register to vote at this election is Tuesday 18 July 2017. Applications need to be made by completing an Invitation to Register (ITR) or by doing so on-line at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
If you are unable to vote in person on that day, you may be eligible for a postal or proxy vote – contact the Elections Office on 01553 616773.
The deadline for applications to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 19 July 2017. This is also the deadline for any changes to postal voting arrangements or proxy voting arrangements.
The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 26 July 2017, and the deadline for receipt of emergency proxy vote applications (if the emergency did not exist at 5pm on Wednesday 26 July 2017) is 5pm on Thursday 3 August 2017.
The counting of the votes will be held on Friday 4 August 2017 at 9:30am in the borough council offices, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1EX.
