Parish councils and borough councillors across West Norfolk have been sent a final invitation to an online briefing ahead of the next round of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding applications.
The session will take place from 4pm to 5pm on Monday 2 February. It follows a similar briefing held last year and will also cover the use of Parish Infrastructure Investment Plans (PIIPs), which can help strengthen CIL applications.
Cllr James Moriarty, Cabinet Member for Planning and Licensing, said:
“We have updated our CIL funding application process to ensure it aligns with national guidelines. This online session is designed to support parishes and Members in understanding how to complete the revised form and submit a compliant application.
“We will also talk through Parish Infrastructure Investment Plans. These are optional, but they can significantly assist parish councils in shaping and supporting their bids.
“Our team will explain both processes and then open the floor for questions. I hope as many parishes and councillors as possible will join us. The session will be recorded and shared afterwards for anyone unable to attend.”
Parish councils or Members who need a copy of the invitation can request one by emailing cil@west-norfolk.gov.uk.
