Visitors and residents in Hunstanton can now enjoy free, fresh drinking water thanks to a newly installed water fountain at the Cliff Top Car Park.
This project has been made possible by a generous grant from the national marine conservation charity, Sea Changers.
The installation was carried out by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, with the aim of promoting sustainability and reducing single-use plastic waste in the popular seaside town.
Cllr Sue Lintern, Cabinet Member for Culture and Events, said:
"This is the second water fountain to be installed in the town, there is already one to be found on Seagate near the Promenade. This is a welcome addition to Hunstanton’s amenities. It not only provides a convenient source of hydration for locals and tourists alike but also supports our commitment to reducing plastic waste and keeping Hunstanton clean."
She added:
" This project is a great example of collaboration between Sea Changers and our Resorts Team, and we’re proud to be part of a movement that encourages environmentally conscious choices."
