The number of nominations for vacant seats on Downham Market Town Council was less than the number of seats available so there will not be a contested election in May.
Old Town, North & South Wards
Nominations were received but these were fewer than the number of vacant seats so all nominees will be elected ‘unopposed’.
This also means the town council can start the co-options process to fill any remaining vacant seats in these wards.
East Ward
No nominations were received for this ward. However, as a valid election request was received, an election to fill the vacancies must be carried out in the near future. More information will be published on this in the coming weeks.
