The current position

On the 23 June the Prime Minister announced that all food and drink premises could reopen from 4 July, providing that they can operate 'covid-secure'.

Government guidance

The Government has provided guidance for any food preperation or food service setting where food is sold for takeaway or delivery, such as:

  • bars
  • pubs and restaurants offering as takeaways
  • cafes
  • food to go
  • food delivery
  • takeaways and mobile catering
  • contract catering at the point of service to the consumer, such as in offices or similar environments
