Our vision and values
Our vision is the endpoint towards which all our services should aim. Our vision - which is the title of our strategy - is “Ending Homelessness, Person by Person”:
- Ending Homelessness - we should set our sights towards this goal, even if it feels impossible within the lifetime of the strategy. This means that we work towards a future where some of our services do not need to exist in their current form.
- Person by Person - we should measure, recognise and (where appropriate) celebrate progress towards ending homelessness, which can only be achieved through a person-centred approach.
Underpinning the vision are a set of five values:
- Dignity - We will treat people with dignity and compassion, in the light of current and past traumas.
- Transparency - We will make it clear why we are doing things, what we’re doing, what people can expect and how it’s going.
- Flexibility - Where we can, we will work services flexibly around the needs of an individual.
- Collaboration - We will work with each other to get the best results.
- Empowerment - We will enable people to engage in, shape, and benefit fully from the services they use.
