The Sheep Field Community Housing Development

Find out about the community-led housing development in Hunstanton

The Sheep Field

The Sheep Field is a borough council owned piece of land in Hunstanton. It's been identified as the site for an innovative new community-led housing development.

The proposed development will feature approximately 30 new homes. And we're keen to get prospective new residents involved from the start.

Preference for the affordable homes will be given to local people who cannot afford the increasing house prices in the town.

As well as the opportunity to buy a home on the open market, there will be:

  • affordable rented homes
  • a range of low cost ownership options

Our information guide will give you more details. And you can find out more about low cost ownership on the Help to Buy website.

How can you get involved?

If you would like to be part of this community-led development, the first stage in the process is to register your interest. There is no commitment at this point.

You can register your interest using our online form.

To register your interest you'll need:

  • your email address

Attend the consultation event

We, along with colleagues from Hunstanton Town Council and Victory Housing, will be holding a consultation event to share information about the proposed development. At the event you'll be able to view:

  • details of the low cost home ownership options being offered
  • an indicative site layout
  • detailed floor plans of the proposed homes

Event details: Hunstanton Town Hall, 31 January 2019, 2:00pm to 8:00pm. No need to register or book, just turn up.

What happens next?

Once registered, we'll assess you against the eligibility criteria for the development. We'll also keep you up to date regarding the development.
