We are seeking your views on our draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2025, as required under the Licensing Act 2003
About the consultation
The Licensing Act 2003 mandates that all local authorities publish a Statement of Licensing Policy every five years. Our current policy was approved by Full Council on 14 January 2021 and is due for review.
We have proposed minor changes to the existing policy. The draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 will replace the current version and extend it for another five years.

All feedback will be considered and included in a report to Cabinet before the final policy is agreed.
What happens next?
After the consultation closes, we will review all comments received and make any necessary amendments to the draft. The final version of the Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 will then be published on our website and come into effect by 14 January 2026.
