About the Statement of Licensing Policy

The Licensing Act 2003 requires all local authorities to publish a Statement of Licensing Policy each five-year period. Our current policy was approved by Full Council on the 26 November 2015. Regulations require that we review that policy and have the new policy in place by the 7 January 2021

The policy will be the basis for all licensing decisions we take over the next five years. You can view our current policy on our policy information page, and the proposed policy below:

We welcome your comments on these proposals, or any other comments you would wish to make on either the current or proposed policy. 

Your comments, which will form a report to Cabinet, can be submitted by:
