Sign up to receive your bills by email

You can now receive your Council Tax bills and related correspondence by email rather than post. You'll:

  • receive them quicker
  • help the environment
  • reduce costs

SMS text messaging

We can now also use SMS text messages to contact you regarding your Council Tax account. This may include messages:

  • to remind you to pay your Council Tax
  • to review any discounts/exemptions on your account
  • to remind you of appointments with council staff

How to register

If you'd like to start receiving bills by email and/or text messages from our Council Tax department, please complete the short form below.

Please note, you can opt in to either or both of the above services on the one form.

To register for paperless billing/text messaging, you'll need your:

  • Council Tax account number (you can find this on your bill/correspondence)
  • email address
  • mobile number

What happens next?

Once we've processed your application, we'll send you a bill by email confirming the registration was successful.   

If your email address or telephone number changes in the future, you can also update your contact details using the form above.
